“2023 Taipei Next Forum – Global Digital Carbon Economy Alliance”
Preparatory Launching Ceremony
On December 14, 2023, the launch ceremony for the 2023 Taipei Future Forum and Global Digital Carbon Economy Development Alliance was held in Taipei. The forum was co-hosted by the Taipei City Government’s Industrial Development Bureau and the Taipei City Business Association, with the Taipei City Business Association’s Industrial Development Committee and Smart City New Business Committee undertaking the organization. Co-organizers included Mobii Green Energy Group and the Macau-Taiwan Chamber of Commerce, among other institutions. This multi-party collaboration exemplified cross-sectoral cooperation, jointly promoting sustainable development in Taipei City and globally.
Global Digital Carbon Economy Alliance
Prominent figures, including Dr. Aglaia Kong, CEO & CTO of LeapFive Technology, Chairman Kenny Tseng of Mobii Green Energy Group, Balaji Baktha of Board Member of RISC- International, and Chairmen Frankwell Lin of RISC-V Taiwan Alliance, ect., jointly announced the official launch of the “Global Digital Carbon Economy Alliance.” The alliance aims to establish an open, fair, and cross-national carbon chip ecosystem centered around RISC-V architecture chip technology, accelerating the realization of ESG goals through technology, and establishing a standardized global carbon economy ecosystem.
Dr. Aglaia Kong, with her expertise in AI cloud computing, storage, and chip development, delved into the application of technology in achieving urban net zero targets in her speech. He emphasized the crucial role of technology in addressing climate change and promoting energy transition, showcasing LeapFive Technology’s active role in driving global sustainable development, and pushing the development of a sustainable digital carbon economy ecosystem from basic chip level to global individual participation.
As a key of the Global Digital Carbon Economy Alliance Initiators, Dr. Kong’s expertise will play a significant role in building a global carbon economy system based on RISC-V architecture chip technology.
Special Topic Forum
Subsequently, the event invited Dr. Aglaia Kong to a special topic forum on “Taipei Net Zero, Industrial Sustainability” discussing strategies for promoting green economic transformation in Taipei City and globally with Mr. Chun-An Chen, Commissioner of Department of Economic Development of Taipei City Government, Dr. M.J. Migonne Chan, Deputy Director of the Taiwan Center for Security Studies (TCSS), NCCU, and Dr Ven-haw Chen, Director Research Div. I, of Taiwan Institute of Economic Research. The focus was on energy transition and upgrading, promoting green transportation, utilizing new technologies and smart city management mechanisms, and exploring new development opportunities and prospects for Taipei’s industries in the era of the green carbon economy.
The successful conclusion of the 2023 Taipei Future Forum and Global Digital Carbon Economy Development Alliance launch ceremony marked the official establishment of the Global Digital Carbon Economy Development Alliance. LeapFive Technology will continue to contribute towards achieving “carbon neutrality” and strive for the net zero target.
