LeapFive Technology launched the first 12nm 64-bit RISC-V multi-core high-end application processor
In recent years, risc-v ecology has become increasingly mature, the circle of friends has become wider and wider, and risc-v applications have gradually extended from entry-level to medium and high-end. Recently, the first SOC chip product of Yuefang technology – Nb2 was launched. Nb2 is a 64 bit risc-v SOC product targeting high-end industrial applications. It adopts 12NM advanced technology and faces many kinds of applications such as edge computing, deep learning, machine vision and voice processing. It is the first edge intelligent high-end processor based on risc-v architecture in the industry.

Considering the demanding industrial Internet of things application scenarios, Nb2 is designed and manufactured with 12NM process and industrial standards, which fully meets the needs of industrial environment such as high stability, high reliability and low power consumption. Nb2 adopts 19x19mm FCBGA package, with working temperature of – 40 ℃ ~ 85 ℃, and typical power consumption as low as 5W.
Different from some MPW chips targeting high-end risc-v processors on the market, Nb2 directly adopts full mask streaming, which is currently in the trial production stage, and is expected to be mass produced as early as Q3.
Future development
Focusing on Nb2 chip, Yuefang technology calibrates the application directions of smart energy, smart logistics, smart manufacturing and data security, and plans to build a new risc-v application platform. In addition to the high-performance development board based on Nb2, with its years of accumulation in the bottom ecosystem of risc-v, Yuefang technology will also release Nb2 Linux distribution, covering the application requirements of BSP, kernel, driver, library, components, middleware, tools, reference programs and other layers of systems.
Among them, IDE tools based on eclipse are highly integrated, which can meet the development and debugging of various heterogeneous resources such as CPU and hardware acceleration engine in Nb2; Nb2 has supported C / C + +, python, go, rust and other languages, docker operating environment, edgex edge computing framework, Ethereum blockchain scheme and other software, which can effectively support system applications and greatly shorten the application landing cycle.
